Dimapur, April 17: A total of 274 suspected COVID-19 samples have been sent for testing from Nagaland till date, including 48 samples on Friday, out of which 222 samples have returned negative, while results of 48 samples are awaited. Four samples have been sent for retest.
In his daily briefing on COVID-19 status of the State, Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha IAS informed that a total of 141 samples of persons connected with the COVID-19 patientfrom Dimapur, which includes co-passengers, health care workers and family members, have been collected till now and sent for testing. Out of this, results of 138 samples have been received and all are negative. The results of 3 samples are awaited.
Sinha informed that on Friday the Chief Minister held a meeting through video conferencing with all the Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police and the Chief Medical Officers to review the implementation of the lockdown measures and the state of preparedness for combating COVID-19.
The Districts gave a detailed briefing of their preparedness and also mentioned about the various issues pertaining to their districts. The Chief Minister complemented everyone for the efforts made till now, and advised for continued vigil on the situation and more interventions by the officers for further enhancing the level of preparation.
