Guwahati, November 22: An earthquake of magnitude 4.4 on the Richter scale struck Nagaland on Sunday.
According to National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the quake hit the Mokokchung region at 8:59 am.
The quake hit at a shallow depth of 23 km beneath the epicentre.
The effects of the quake were also felt across several locations in Nagaland including Dimapur as well as in Assam.
There was no immediate report of any casualty or damage to property because of the quake. (Agencies)
