Kohima, Jun 14: A double brace by loan player Henry today earned the first full point for Khriekesa Football Club in the ongoing Kohima Football League organized by Kohima Town Club at IG Stadium here.
Khriekesa defeated United 16 FC 2-0 to move a step up in fifth position among the seven teams competing in this edition of the tourney. United 16 and debutants A Yhome FC are the bottom liners losing all three games so far.
In the match, though both sides were unable to create any perfect moment to find the back of the net, foul play and reckless tackling inside the danger zone by United 16 players in the 44th minute and injury added time of the first half cost them greatly with referee awarding penalty in favour of Khriekesa.
The loan player from Manipur, Henry taking the shots converted into the two leads as the game moved into the breather. However, the second half of the game ended with neither side managing to make any decisive moves.
