Kohima, July 10: John Higher Secondary School Viswema and Rüzhükhrie Government Higher Secondary School today made comfortable entry into the semi-final of the 3rd Kohima District Inter School Football Tournament played at IG Stadium here.
In the first quarter-final match, John HSS Viswema humiliated visiting Government Higher Secondary School Tseminyu 8-0 with skipper Vichüto Phira alone scoring five goals.
It was Justin Malangmei scoring the first goal in a record fastest time of the tourney in 1:30 minute to open the flood gates followed by Zayiese Sale making it double in the 3rd minute while ViluTheyo netted the third in the 13th minute and captain Vichüto Phira came in with his first and fourth for the team in the 33rd minute.
Phira continued with the remaining four goals in the 51st, 53rd, 54th and 73rd minutes of the game to become the ninth hat-trick scorer of the tourney.
Playing the second quarter-finals, champions of the first edition (2017) Rüzhükhrie GHSS also blanked Baptist High by 3 goals scored in the first half.
Mhaphruovituo scored the first in 15th minute while Kevize-u doubled it in 18th minute followed by Küvethi Swüro netting the third in 30th minute. The second half did not see any decisive move from the teams.
