Dimapur, March 29: Thirty-nine persons today violated the lockdown/curfew orders in the state today even as 3 FIRs were lodged and 2 persons were arrested.
According to district-wiser report issued by Principal Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Abhijit Sinha late Sunday evening, shops for food grains and groceries were open in all districts in the state today, except for Kiphire where it opens on alternated days and it was closed in Longleng. All shops for milk and medicines were also open in all districts.
The report mentioned that there is no shortage of food grains, groceries, milk, medicines in the state. There was no report of restriction on movement of essential service providers like Electricity Telecom facilities, Cooking fuel & Medical facilities. There were also no report of restriction on movement of personnel/workers working in manufacturing units of essential commodities.
The commercial vehicles for distribution of essential commodities movement, and e- commerce agents are also not restricted in the state.
The report mention that in Dimapur District suitable arrangements have been made for providing food & shelter to migrant workers affected by COVID-19 restrictions and in Dimapur Administration established a community kitchen & food has been distributed with the help of NGOs. Permits have also been issued to commercial vehicles in transporting the essential commodities. (Page News Service)
