39 ongoing roadway projects in Nagaland: MoRT&H

1,41,246 IHHLs constructed

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 10: The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways is undertaking 39 ongoing roadway projects in Nagaland with a total length of 803.55 km. The total cost of the 39 projects is Rs 9205.96 crore.
This information was given by Minister for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, G Kishan Reddy in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today.
In the last 5 years, 26 roadway projects with a total length of 264.7 km have been completed in Nagaland. The cost of the 26 projects was Rs 1086.14 crore.
1,41,246 IHHLs
The Centre has constructed 1,41,246 individual household latrines (IHHLs) in Nagaland under Swachh Bharat Mission till date.
The Government had launched Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) [SBM(G)] with effect from October 2, 2014 with the main aim to make the rural areas of the country open defecation free (ODF) by October 2, 2019, by providing access to toilets to all rural households.
This Information was given by the Minister of State for Jal Shakti, Prahlad Singh Patel in a written reply in Lok Sabha today.
