37 BSF conducts awareness session on benefits of yoga

Dimapur, May 20: As a prelude to the 8th International Day of Yoga, the 37th Battalion of Border Security Force (BSF), Chedema on Friday conducted yoga session at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama.
Officers and jawans of BSF and students from Holy Cross School Chedema participated in the session, in presence of Commandant Vinod Kumar.
Second-in-Command of 37 BSF Chedema, Pawan Kumar said that the session is a prelude to International Yoga Day which is celebrated on June 21. It was conducted to spread awareness about the benefits of yoga into the civilians and the jawans, he said.
Maintaining that the 37 Battalion BSF has been conducting series of yoga sessions with school children and local populace, he expressed hope that such activities would create health consciousness and also strengthen the bond between the people and security force.
