Dimapur, August 5: The Government of Nagaland is implementing 33% reservation for women in the recruitment of State police force.
This was announced by Deputy General of Police, Nagaland, T John Longkumer, IPS while inaugurating the re-located Jalukie Women Police Station building at Jalukie on Monday.
An advertisement for 128 posts of Constable (General Duty) in the District Executive Force under Police Department on August 3 last had also indicated that 33% is reserved for female candidates.
The DGP challenged women to come forward and apply for the post, and also assured that transparency will be maintained during the recruitment.
John Longkumer also encouraged women police to provide healing touch to all the needy ones.
