DIMAPUR, JUNE 17: Three villages in Nagaland have registered 100% vaccination (first dose) so far, according to Chief Secretary J Alam.
Yali village in Tuensang district, and Moalenden and Longsemdang villages in Mokokchung district have completed 100% vaccination, the Chief Secretary tweeted on Thursday.
“Congratulations!! Yali, Moalenden and Longsemdang villages for completing 100% vaccination. You lead the way for Nagaland to achieve COVID vaccination target in 2-3 months or even earlier. Salute Team Tuensang and Mokokchung, VCs, HLWs, FLWs and volunteers. Keep up the good work”, the tweet read.
After announcing the extension of lockdown period by 2 more weeks on June 16, Government spokesperson Mmhonlumo Kikon had underscored the need to vaccinate more than 50% of the general population.
According to the Government, 60% of healthcare workers and 75% of frontline workers in the State have been vaccinated till date. (Page News Service)
