Dimapur, February 20: Three persons, including 2 women from Nagaland, died while 4 were injured in a tragic road accident in Karbi Anglong at around 6:20 am Wednesday morning.
According to sources, the accident occurred at RCC Bridge, Hari Tarogaon near Dokmoka Army Camp, when the Innova (NL01/H-6595) going from Dimapur lost control and struck the pillar of the bridge. The occupants were going to Tura, Meghalaya to attend a meeting.
Two women and one man died on the spot while 4 persons, including the driver, received grievous injuries. The injured were shifted to Dimapur for better treatment but two out of four were shifted to Guwahati.
The deceased have been identified as Dr Asenuo Linyii, Chief Veterinary Officer of Kohima Village, Zakielhouvinuo (Donuo) Aier of Zhadima Village and Visakhole Ziitso of Kigwema village. The injured have been identified as Pukroho Kin of Viswema village, Luolao IIsou of Nerhema village and Rev Dr Neikedozo Paphino of Pfiichama village. Rev Dr Papiho is the Pastor of ACRC, Dimapur.
