3 houses damaged in Tuensang

Dimapur, August 13: The retaining wall of a house in Middle Sector, under High School B Ward of Tuensang town collapsed on August 10 last due to heavy rains damaging 3 households.
Immediately after the incident, Tshelhi-u NCS, EAC (HQ) rushed to the spot and took stock of the situation. Personnel from the Civil Defence and Home Guards along with volunteers in the neighbours removed the debris from the affected houses.
The district administration led by Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Mohammad Ali Shihab IAS also visited the Site on August 11 and handed over relief under Tuensang District Disaster Management Authority (TDDMA) to the affected households.
The affected houses belong to Yangba of Yaongyimti Village, Khomong of Tuensang Village and Soyen of Yaongyimti Village.
