Kohima, May 26: The three-day 53rd Ura Academy Seminar concluded today.
The last day of the seminar was marked with Tenyidie Kephrünuoko Krotho (TKK), the student session with guest speaker HoD of Tenyidie Department, Dimapur Government College, Vipinuo Kehie.
She encouraged the students present to take up Tenyidie as a subject and also exhorted them on moral life, obedience, respect and honor to parents and elders.
The program was chaired by TKK President Petevilie Ketho, scripture reading and invocation by Pastor BRC Kohima Village Thinuohelie Sachü, welcome address by TKK Vice president Khrieketoulie Chadi, special number by Seyiekruonuo Yhome.
The second session witnessed students of high schools and higher secondary schools competing in debate, poetry writing, story writing and essay writing.
Choral competition was held in the third session with guest speaker Project Director of TafMA Hovithal Sothu speaking on the importance and benefits of music.
In the valedictory session, Ura Academy president Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu chaired the program and also delivered the presidential address.
UA treasurer Pheluopfhelie Kesiezie exhorted the gathering. Invocation was pronounced by Angami Baptist Churches Council president Rev. Savito Nagi, folk tune by Thüküvelü Sakhamo and friends and special presentation by Hill Brothers, Tenyidie Department, Nagaland University and Northfield HSS (winner of the choral competition). Vote of thanks was delivered by UA secretary general Dr. D Kuolie.
Awards were conferred on the following categories: Dr. Neilhouzhü Kire Award for highest marks in Tenyidie subject in HSLC exam went to Lhukhonino Seyie, Christian Welfare School, Khonoma; Rüzhükhrie Sekhose Award for highest marks in Tenyidie in HSSLC exam presented to Nourhengunuo Kire, Khedi Baptist Higher Secondary School; Nini Vinguriaü Lungalung Award will be presented to highest marks scorer in Music subject in HSSLC exam to Yimlimongla Pongen, Vineyard School and A Kevichüsa Award for undergraduate 2022, Nagaland University Tenyidie Subject topper to Khrüvolü Chüzho, Kohima College.
