2nd phase NISHTHA training for teachers

Dimapur, February 7: The 2nd phase of National Initiative for School Heads & Teachers Holistic Advancement (NISHTHA) under District Mission Authority (DMA), Samagra Shiksha Kohima for Upper Primary Level (6 to 8) began at TM Government Higher Secondary School Kohima from February 4 and will culminate on February 8.
During the introductory programme, Emillo Patton, Deputy Director, School Education who is also the State Resource Person (SRP) for NISHTHA training briefed the teacher trainees with the roadmaps of training topics such as social-personal qualities; inclusive education and POCSO Act (Education); Health and well-being; Leadership module; Motivational session/ Best practices of teachers; Pedagogy, learning outcomes and school based assessment on languages, science, mathematics and social sciences.
Thongsenlo Kath, Assistant District Coordinator (ADC), DMA, Samagra Shiksha Kohima emphasized on mass attendance with strict action, importance of pre-test and post-test registration of NISHTHA training that teachers would have to fill up online.
Kiphire: District level integrated teachers training NISHTHA (National initiative for school heads & teachers holistic advancement) phase 2nd began at GHSS Kiphire on February 4.
DC Kiphire & chairman Samagra Shiksha, Sarita Yadav IAS appealed to all the teachers to give inputs about the problems that they are facing in the school, so that the Kiphire District administration will look into the matter. On the problem of proxy teacher Sarita requested the village education committee to motivate every teacher to perform their duty in building up the career of the students.
Teachers being the role model and platform of the society must know their duty and be responsible, she said and urged them to be more dedicated in their work.
The programme was chaired by T.Lichumse Sangtam, Assistant District coordinator and keynote address was given by Lirila, State resource person.
