Dimapur, October 31: The second edition of the Dimapur Youth Festival was held today in DDSC Stadium which was organized by MW Enterprise in collaboration with Dimapur Naga Students Union (DNSU), Act of Kindness Society, KNOW (Kongro Naga on Wheels) and Musik-A.
As chairperson of the programme, Secretary, Act of Kindness Society, Adrian Mahung exhorting the gathering said the event is being organised to bring about change in the hearts of our young generation by instilling peace, unity and harmony without any tribal barriers through their natural form of expression.
He said, “We believe that allowing freedom of expression allows a person’s full capacity to shine. Today marks such an occasion where we will witness every participants to bring out the uniqueness not in fear but with complete freedom and passion”.
Speaking on the occasion, Founder and President of Act of Kindness, Lenti Aier said the festival will also nurture, promote and encourage young talents through various competitions, floor interactions and platforms.
The Dimapur Youth Festival season -2 kicked off on October 29 at State stadium, DC Court junction where 95 participants ran for the half marathon covering 12 kilometers.
Penalty shoot-out, tug of war, Art competition and Band Hunt Audition are todays major attractions and in the evening it is expected that the ground will be full enjoying the live concert by MW Assembled Band, Senti and Hopong, remarked one of the organising member while speaking to Nagaland Page.
The festival will conclude on November 2.
