Dimapur, January 12: The Angami Catholic Union (ACU) is holding its 2nd Leaders Meet and 11th Convention under the theme “Rooted and Build up in Christ” at the campus of St. Clare Higher Secondary School at Phevima (Kacharigoan) in Dimapur.
Vikepelhou Lucas Meyase and R. Rocus Chasie were the resource persons on Saturday. The three-day ACU meet hosted by St. Leo Church, Phevima will go on till Sunday.
R. Rocus Chasie dealt with the topic “Catholic Social Teaching” and said it offers a world of thinking, being and seeing the world. He elaborated the meaning of the four principles of CST – the dignity of the human person, the common good, subsidiarity and solidarity.
In the second session, Chasie talked about “Christian life”.
Earlier during the first session, Vikepelhou Lucas Meyase spoke on the theme “Family – The Miniature Church”.
In the third session of the day, Angami priests and nuns and five ACU regions – Chakhro Angami Catholic Union ( CACU ) , Northern Angami Catholic Union ( NACU ) , Kohima Town Angami Catholic Union ( KTACYA ), Western Angami Catholic Union ( WACU ) and Southern Angami Union ( SACU ) presented songs as part of talent showcasing.
Meanwhile, participants attended Eucharist in the morning. Later in the evening, participants took part in “adoration & healing” service led by Tabor Ministry.
About 500 delegates from all Angami inhabited areas of Kohima and Dimapur are attending the ACU leaders meet and convention. (Page News Service)
