290 returnees reach State by train from Bangalore

Returnees arrive at Dimapur Railway station on 9.7
Dimapur, July 9: A special train from Bangalore arrived Dimapur Railway Station Thursday morning carrying 290 Naga returnees comprising of 137 from Dimapur and Peren district, Mon – 37, Tuensang – 19, Longleng – 17, Kiphiri – 18, Phek – 4, Zunheboto – 24, Mokukchung – 4, Wokha – 16 and Kohima – 14.
Team Dimapur led by Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Anoop Kinchi IAS received the returnees.
On arrival, Dimapur and Peren district returnees were taken to Agri Expo site for further necessary protocols before sending them to Government quarantine centers.
Returnees from the rest of the District of Nagaland underwent thermal screening at the medical counter at Railway Station Dimapur, given food packets and were then transported to their respective districts by NST buses accompanied by liaison officer.
It may be mentioned that 49 returnees from Manipur (Senapati district) also came from the same train. Team Dimapur provided food packets and water to the Manipur returnees also, who were then transported by buses arranged by Manipur Government. (Page News Service)
