KOHIMA, JANUARY 19: The total number of healthcare workers in Nagaland who have received COVID-19 vaccines reached 2,873 on Tuesday, according to a State Health official.
Today a total of 1,415 health workers in both government and private health centers directly confronting the COVID-19 received Covishield, said State Immunization Officer (SIO), Dr Ritu Thurr.
He said that the vaccination on Tuesday was carried out in 36 sites across all the districts.
In this first phase of the vaccination drive, a total of 19,690 healthcare workers, including government, private, military and paramilitary doctors, nurses and sanitary workers, are targeted to be administered the with the vaccine.
The district-wise vaccination of 1,415 healthcare workers including doctors, nurses and support staff today is as follows: Dimapur-377, Wokha-206, Mokokchung-200, Zunheboto-192, Peren-105, Mon-86, Phek-76, Kohima-69, Tuensang- 40, Kiphire-36 and Longleng-27.
Thurr informed that all vaccinated healthcare workers will receive the subsequent second dose after 28 days and COVID-19 appropriate behaviours will be strictly maintained even after the vaccination.
