25 Naga Bn NCC organizes blood donation camp

Dimapur, November 27: On the occasion of the platinum jubilee celebrations of National Cadet Corps (NCC) coinciding with Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, 25 Naga Bn NCC organised a blood donation camp in the District Hospital, Mokokchung. The cadets of senior division and senior wing of NCC from Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung along with PI staff donated blood.
Speaking on the occasion, Col CST Swamy, CO, 25 Naga Bn NCC said that NCC being the largest youth organisation in the country is engaged in various social initiatives like blood donation, Puneet Sagar Abhiyan (cleaning up of water bodies), environmental awareness and Covid awareness.
25 Naga Bn NCC, Mokokchung also organised an event at their office on November 27 with cadets of senior division, senior wing, junior division and junior wing of NCC from Fazl Ali College and Dilong High School, Mokokchung.
In his address, the Commanding Officer explained the genesis of NCC, which is the largest uniformed youth organization in the world. The commendable achievements of NCC in war as well as peacetime as a volunteer youth organization were highlighted by the officer.
During the event, the cadets were informed of the various employment opportunities that are available for NCC ‘C’ certificate holders especially in the Indian Armed Forces, Paramilitary and CAPF including the latest ‘Agnipath’ scheme and the Combined Defence Services Exam. The function concluded with refreshments and the National Anthem.
