Phezoucha YO, Küluopfü FC Pochury enter Q/F

Kohima, November 9: Phezoucha Youth Organisation and Küluopfü Football Club Pochury moved into the quarter finals winning their respective matches at the ongoing 24th Classic Cup organized by Classic Club at Local Ground here.
In the first match of the day, Phezoucha YO came from behind to defeat Kohima Eagles FC 4-3 via tie breaker after the teams were locked 2-2 in the stipulated 60 minutes play.
It was Kohima Eagles scoring the first two goals through Khrieneituo Kezieo and Vikehiezo Mejura in the 11th and 25th minute before the breather. However, Phezoucha YO came stronger to equalize through Ruokuosezo and Kevi Thupz in the 43rd and 52nd minutes of play.
The match was directly decided through tie-breaker. In penalty shootout, lady luck favoured Phezoucha YO through the sudden death with 4-3 against Kohima Eagles FC.
Playing the second match also Küluopfü FC came from behind to book their quarter final berth by defeating Tiema-Khe Kidima 2-1.
Dupisa Pucho netted first for Tiema-Khe in the 14th minute while the equalizer for Küluopfü FC came through the boots of Dominic Ngouri in the 26th minute to end the first half 1-1. However, in the second half, Ngouri struck the winning goal for Küluopfü FC in the 52nd minute.
With today’s win, Küluopfü FC and Phezoucha YO will clash against each other in the quarter finals on November 14.
