23rd NSF Martyrs Memorial Trophy: United FC & F4C into quarters

Kohima, October 2: The United Football Club Piphema and Football For Change (F4C) today made it to the quarter finals of the ongoing students’ memorial soccer tournent organized by Angami Students’ Union (ASU) at Indira Gandhi Stadium here.
Playing a closely contested first match of the day, United FC Piphema defeated Asufii Football Academy 2-1. Razoukhrielie(13) scored first for United FC in the 12th minute but Shanti Y Konyak (10) equalized the goal in the 20th minute. Minutes before the lemon break, United FC once again found the lead through Ayen Manga(7) in the 37th minute while the second half was spend with both sides unable to.make any decisive move. Joyson Rhi (3) of United FC was awarded the man of the match by Seyieneilhou Keyho former ASU Executive and President Chakhroma Youth Organisation.
Playing the second match, two second half goals made F4C Academy win againat Jakhama Youth Organisation (JYO) 2-1.
Ntselo(6) scored the first goal for JYO in the 37th minute to lead the first half of the game.
However, unable to defend the lead JYO conceded the equalizer scored by Kamgouhao Doungle (11) of F4C Academy.The winning goal for F4C came through the boots of Seigongin Chongloi (6) in the 75 th minute. Khaiminlen Touthang(1) of F4C academy was awarded man of the match which was handed over by Khriezelhou Vitso former ASU Executive and Co-convenor 23rd NSF Martyr’s Memorial Trophy.
