Kohima, October 14: Viswemi Football Club today became the last team to book their semi-final berth at the ongoing 20th edition of NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy organized by Angami Students’ Union at Kohima local ground here.
Playing a close shave match, Viswemi FC came from behind to win against Unity FC Meriema 2-1.
Viswemi FC missed an opportunity in the 23rd minute as Kelengol Mekro shot slightly missed the cross bar for a goal kick. But, it was Unity FC scoring first through Keneikhrietuo in the 32nd minute to go into the break 1-0.
But Viswemi FC made a very quick come back after the lemon break as Kelengoto found the much needed equalizer within few seconds of the whistle of the start of second half through a cross from Nosato Kikhi.
Thereafter, it was Viswemi dominating the game and managed to take the lead through Kelesal power shot from inside the D’box in the 58th minute. Viswemi nearly had the third goal in the 89th minute but custodian Ruovilhoukho Hiekha made an excellent diving save to deny Kebolesa Kikhi.

Viswemi FC will take on last edition’s runners-up Meriema Village Youth Organization in the second semi-final match on October 17 at 1:30 pm.
Angami Sports Association (ASA) president Viliehu Nguzhü was the match patron for the last quarter final.
