NEHU innovators develop book sanitisation machine

Shillong, September 24: A team of innovators of the North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) here has developed a book sanitisation machine to deal with COVID-19 infections through books, officials said on Thursday. The book sanitising machine was invented by a team of innovators of the Department of Biomedical Engineering and the Department of Basic Sciences and Social Sciences of NEHU, a Central university. COVID-19 tally breaches 8K-mark in Arunachal with highest one-day spike of 289 cases

Itanagar, September 24: Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday reported its highest single-day spike of 289 COVID-19 cases, which took the tally in the northeastern state to 8,133, a senior health department official said. Barring 21, all new patients are asymptomatic and have been shifted to COVID-19 care centres, State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr L Jampa said. "Ten security personnel -- six from the Assam Rifles, two from the Indo Tibetan Border Police, one each from the Army and the Indian Reserve Battalion -- are among the new patients," the SSO said....
