Tarun Gogoi in ICU after oxygen level falls in post-COVID complications

Guwahati, September 24: Veteran Congress leader and former Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi was on Thursday admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a state-run hospital after his blood oxygen level drastically went down in post-COVID-19 complications, a senior doctor said. The 85-year-old leader tested positive for the virus on August 25 and was admitted to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) the next day. Guwahati, September 24: The Assam government has excluded lessons on Jawaharlal Nehru's policies, Ayodhya dispute and the Gujarat riots among others from the Class 12 syllabus of the state examination board to ease burden on students. Aizawl, September 24: The Mizoram Assembly on Thursday served a show-cause notice to an independent MLA following demands for his disqualification by the ruling MNF which alleged that he joined the opposition Zoram People's Movement (ZPM) violating the Constitution and the anti-defection law.
