11th biodiversity festival held at Chizami

Kohima, March 6: The 2-day 11th biodiversity festival, organized by North East Network, concluded at Chizami village in Phek district on the theme "Rediscovering indigenous science for a sustainable future'. Meghalaya sees stray violence: 2 labourers assaulted, 2 stabbed

Shillong, March 6: After a brief lull for four days, Meghalaya witnessed sporadic violence as two labourers were attacked, a man was stabbed, and a truck was set ablaze in East Khasi Hills district, the police said on Friday. Assam brides to get Rs 40,000 to buy gold

GUWAHATI, March 6: The financial assistance under the Assam government’s ‘Arundhati’ scheme will be enhanced to Rs.40, 000, announced finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma in his budget speech at the Assam Legislative Assembly today. Earlier, brides from the state got Rs. 30, 000 under the flagship scheme of the state government.
