SSSUD not to pay tax to EF&CC, G&M Deptts

Dimapur, May 30: Sand Stockists & Supplies Union Dimapur (SSSUD) today said that it would stop paying tax to environment, forest and climate change (EF&CC) and Geology & Mining Department with effect from June 1 till the government gives final decision as to which department would be allowed to collect tax on sand laden vehicles. Night curfew along Assam-Nagaland border

Dimapur, May 30: Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Sivasagar, Assam has reinforced night curfew from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. in the 5 km belt in Assam side of Sivasagar district bordering Nagaland state with effect from April 18 for a period of 60 days. Dimapur, May 30: Dimapur police crime branch personnel arrested 3 persons identified as Basanta Bhuyan (48 yrs), S/o. Dhanaswar Bhuyan, of North Lakhimpupr, Assam; Tajen Borah (27 yrs), S/o. Raman Borah, P.O/PS- Dholpur,Lakhimpur, Assam and Dilip Borah (50 yrs), S/o. Profulla Borah, P.O/PS- Gahpur, Dist- Sonitpur, Assam for possessing fake Indian currency notes.
