2 Rotarian cyclists on 7 country tour reach Nagaland

Dimapur, September 20: Two Rotarian cyclist – Rtn. Fayiz KV and Rtn Rajith KK from Rotary International District 3202 (Kerala) visited Dimapur on September 19 and were received by Rotary Club members of Dimapur under the presidentship of Rtn Ashok Agarwal.
The two Rotarian are international cycle riders from Malabar Cycle Club and had embarked on their journey from Calicut on August 10 and will reach Singapore via Myanmar, Thailand covering seven countries and 8000+ kms in 120 days. The mission is to propagate Rotary International theme of Mark Maloney for this year “Rotary connects the world.”
Sharing their experience with members of the club during their meeting, they said till now have covered a distance of 3800+ kms, and came across mountainous terrain, rough roads, interacted with people of different cultures, multiple languages of various religion, making it more adventures.
“The hospitality during the journey has been enriching shown by the Rotary family members,” they said.
Rotary Club of Dimapur had a flag exchange and felicitation programme and extended all support and wished them safe journey as they proceed towards Kohima on September 20 for the rest of their mission. (Page News Service)
