Dimapur, April 7: Two persons suffered burn injuries when the house they were living caught fire in the wee hours today.
According to the Fire Department, a 55-year old woman was severely burnt while her 17-year old son received burnt injuries when their house caught fire at around 2.50 a.m. at Kuda B Khel, Lane-20, Hope Academy Dimapur. The injured were shifted to Zion Hospital for treatment.
The Fire and Emergency Services immediately mobilized a quick response team on receipt of information and the fire team brought the fire under control and stopped from spreading. The response team was led by SI Kelesezo Tsukru.
Besides household property, a cow and calf were also partially burnt from the fire incident.
The cause of the fire was not known. (Page News Service)
