2 more surrender for man’s murder in Kohima


Kohima, April 29: Two more persons including a Government employee today surrendered themselves in the alleged murder of 37-year old man at D-Block, Kohima on Monday.
The duo identified as Secretariat Peon – Thepfünilhou Theünuo (23), son of Lt Thenyise of Seiyhama village, Kohima and John Cettre (15), a driver by profession and resident of Tinpatti area Kohima surrendered before North Police Station this morning, police sources said.
According to police, Nusato Swuro (37), son of Kuhukhwvyi Swuro of Chesezu village under Phek district was reportedly beaten to death by some persons outside a booze joint in D-Block Kohima following a scuffle between them at around 5 pm on Monday.
The surrender of the duo has increased the number to four accused involved in the case as two others identified as Neilalie Loucu-ü (21), son of Thepfusalie Loucu-ü of Zhadima village and a student of BA-II along with Kikhruhrieto Venyo (21), son of Venuzo Venyo of Thevopisu village went to police station to report the incident and surrendered right after the fight with the victim.
Police confirmed that preliminary investigation reveals that the two Thepfünilhou and John were not involved in the scuffle leading to the murder but they are kept under custody for more detailed interrogation. (Page News Service)
