Dimapur, June 21: Two returnees from Maharashtra have tested positive for COVID-19 in Tuensang, taking the total confirmed cases in Tuensang District to 8. But with 5 recoveries, the number of active cases in Tuensang is 3.
According to DC Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS, the samples of the 2 returnees were tested positive on June 17 by Truenat machines at COVID-19 Hospital Tuensang and were admitted in the isolation ward of the COVID-19 Hospital. Their samples were again collected on June 17 and sent to BSL-3 Lab, NHAK for confirmation and tested positive on June 21.
The patients are reported to be asymptomatic and stable, he said.
