
Dimapur, June 1: The Department of Youth Resources and Sports is organizing the 1st Open Women Football League Tournament from June 26 to July 1 at the Indira Gandhi Stadium Kohima. There will be a maximum of 16 teams and therefore registration will be done on a first come first basis. The players must be bonafide inhabitants of Nagaland.
A team may comprise not more than 18 players and 2 Supporting Staff of which one should be a female and accordingly match allowances will be disbursed @250 per participant.
The winner will take away a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh along with certificates and trophy, the runners up Rs 75000 with certificates and trophy and semi-finalists Rs 30,000 each with certificates.
Apart from team awards, exceptional players will be awarded individual awards and certificates, viz. Player of the Tournament; Highest Scorer; Best Goalkeeper; Most Promising Player
Teams will have to make their logistic arrangements and no TA/DA will be paid except for the match allowances as mentioned above.
