Dimapur, December 5: The first Nagaland Honey Bee Day was observed today at NBHM multi utility centre, 6th Mile Dimapur with Ministry, Planning & Co-ordination, Land Revenue, Neiba Kronu as chief patron.
In his address, Neiba Kronu stated that in other states bee keeping is not very easy as a bee keeper has to shift the boxes but it is not the case in Nagaland and encouraged the gathering to focus on beekeeping. He requested the Government of India to give special interest on the things where Naga people are good at.
“On this first Nagaland Honey Bee Day, let us get up ourselves, prepare, march and go forward and work on how our land will be called Nagaland a land of honey,” he appealed.
Earlier welcome address was delivered by chairman, NBHM Ntsemo Nyullie, while short speeches were delivered by Deputy Commissioner Ministry of Horti GoI, Naveen Patel and Advisor, Horticulture & Former Team leader NBHM Mhathung Yanthan. (Page News Service)
