19th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy: Viphoma M17, Seiyhazou Hill and Khuzama YO move to second round


Kohima, Sep 29: Viphoma M17, Seiyhazou Hill Boys and Khuzama Youth Organised booked their berth for the second round of the ongoing edition of NSF martyrs’ Memorial Trophy organised by Angami Students’ Union at Kohima Local Ground here.
In the first match of the day, Viphoma M17 FC defeated Nagaland University Kohima Campus (NUCK) by a solitary goal. The winning goal was scored by Seyievilie Mere in the 40th minute.
Seiyhazou Hill Boys FC defeated Phezoucha Youth FC, New Secretariat by 4-2 in the second match of the day.
Kevisa-u Zumu of Seiyhazou Hill Boys FC scored the first goal in the 8th minute to lead the first half. After the lemon break Thepfuneilhou Theünuo increased the tally to 3-0 with scoring two consecutive goals in 51st and 55th of play.
Phezoucha Youth FC, New Secretariat made an excellent return scoring two goals through Meuse Limbu with first coming in the 63rd minute while he converted a penalty into second goal in the 70th minute of the play.
However, Thepfuneilhou Theünuo sealed the win for Viphoma M17 in 87th minute as he converted a penalty kick to become the sixth hat-trick scorer of the tournament.
Playing the last match of the day and also the first round, Khuzama Youth Organisation thrashed Golden Tornadoes FC by 8 goals to nil.
Scoring the 1st, 3rd & 4th goals for his team in the 4th, 15th & 52nd minutes, Menguse Sale became the 7th hat trick scorer of the tournament. Both Zevito Khizho and Kezhose Khizho contributed two goals each while Khrievi Thaprü added another goal to the tally in the 60th minute of the match.
