Kijumetouma VSU and Sports Link wins

Kohima, September 27: Kijumetouma Village Students Union and Sports Link Football Club won their respective matches today at the 19th edition of NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy organised by Angami Students’ Union on the theme “Goal for Peace” at Kohima Local Ground (Khuochiezie).
Playing the first match of the day, Kijumetouma VSU blanked Botsa Students FC by 4-0.
Botsa Students defender Dziesevilie Sanchu scored an own goal to in the 7th minute to give the rival the first lead. However, Sikito A Chishi scored twice in 18th and 34th minute increase the margin while Neitho-o netted the fourth goal in 42nd minute to end the first half while neither sides were able to make any further breakthrough in the second half.
Tori Yimchunger and Keduoneizo Zhale of Kijumetouma and Khrievilie Kense of Botsa Students FC were yellow carded during the match.
In the second match, Sports Link FC defeated Tyro FC Phek by a solitary goal scored by Thangao Shupao in the 34th minute of play.
