173 CRPF assists Naga youths


Dimapur, October 11: The 173 Battalion CRPF, Airfield Dimapur has taken the initiative of assisting needy unemployed youth of Nagaland with an objective to give them platform in the armed forces as well as to prepare them for job opportunities in various organisations.
It may be recalled that the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has recently advertised recruitment for constable on General Duty in various Central Paramilitary Forces consisting CRPF, BSF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, AR, SSF and NIA with a total vacancy of 54,953 (Male-47307 and Female-7646).
In this regard, 173 Battalion CRPF, Airfield Dimapur has been mobilising Naga youth for enrolment by assisting them through online registrations of forms as per the requisite. A total of 598 Naga youths (male-486 and female-102) has been successfully registered through the assistance of the CRPF unit.
Since September 3, trained staffs of the unit have been giving free Staff Selection Commission coaching classes and physical endurance test both morning and evening to the registered candidates. The battalion initiated the programme for creating awareness to the candidates and to make them adapt to the examination/ tests that they would be undergoing soon.
