Dimapur, May 1: Under operational aegis of Inspector General, CRPF, Manipur & Nagaland Sector, 173 Bn CRPF based at Airfield, Diphupar, Dimapur conducted various public friendly Civic Action Programmes (CAP) on April 30 at various locations under Chumukedima Block, Dimapur.
Various sports items including footballs, bolleyballs, etc were distributed to the local Youth Organizations of Kirha and Diphupar villages at their Battalion Headquarters while a Bus Waiting Shed was also inaugurated by Vishnu Gautam, Commandant and dedicated to the public of Phelo Areas in the presence of local leaders and elders.
Later, Commandant 173 Bn CRPF inaugurated and handed over one School Library which was established and equipped with books, reading tables with chairs, solar inverters, fans, etc at Government High School, Kekrikhe, Chumukedima village by CRPF.
Speaking on all the events, Commandant stressed upon the need to have a friendlier exchange of interactions between the Security Forces and the local populace of the area. He also said that CRPF will be always be there for the local people in many ways even in future too. The local leaders, Village Elders, School authorities and Youth Leaders also expressed their profound gratitude to the Battalion for providing these basic requirements. (Page News Service)
