Dimapur, September 18: 17 houses were damaged in landslides at two colonies in Zunheboto on September 16 evening. However there is no report of any causalities.
According to a delayed official report, for the past three weeks denizens of Zunheboto has been facing lots of hardships due to unprecedented rainfall leading to massive landslide at Alahuto Colony and DC Hill Colony Zunheboto town.
Upon receiving the report of the landslides, the District administration led by Deputy Commissioner, Peter Lichamo immediately conducted spot verification on September 16 in presence of GBs and ward council members and took stock of the situation.
Four affected families, whose houses were totally damaged, were shifted to temporary arrangement houses and the district administration also released relief fund to all the affected families under NSDMA.
