Dimapur, May 9: The 161st birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore was celebrated at Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School, Dimapur on May 9.
A press release stated that the primary section introduced the ceremony with garlanding the portrait of Shri Shri Guru Maharaj and Kabi Guru Rabindranath Tagore.
The students of primary section presented a garland of poems, dances and speeches and paid tribute to Kabi Guru.
The second stage of the programme was continued by the students of PVHSS. The welcome speech was presented by Principal Monoj Bhattacharjee, followed by songs, dances and poetry presented by the students.
