15 fresh Covid-19 positive cases detected in Nagaland; tally rises to 5229


Dimapur, September 15: Fifteen fresh Covid-19 positive cases were detected in Nagaland today, out of which 4 are in Kohima, 8 in Dimapur, 1 each in Mokokchung, Tuensang and Mon. The total number of positive cases in the state now stands at 5,229.
“Out of 304 results received 15 +ve cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed. 8 in Dimapur, 4 in Kohima & 1 each in Mokokchung, Tuensang and Mon,” Minister for Health & Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom tweeted.
He also mentioned that there are 27 recoveries of COVID-19 patients from Kohima.
Out of the 5,229 positive cases, the total recoveries so far are 3,927. The active cases are 1,269 and there have been 15 deaths.
As per the severity of symptoms, 1,259 active cases are asymptomatic, 8 active cases are mild and 2 active cases are moderate.
Further, out of the 5,229 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 2,464 cases of Armed Forces/ Police, 1,415 cases of Returnees, 320 cases of Frontline Workers and 1,030 cases of Traced Contacts.
A total of 45,078 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 44,316samples have been received. In addition, a total of 25,594samples have been sent for testing on Truenat and results of 25,537samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test, 1,141samples have been tested.
A total of 619 persons are presently under Facility Quarantine”. (Page News Service)
