15 cadres of ENNG surrender in Arunachal

Dimapur, March 15: Fifteen cadres of Aruchal Pradesh based Eastern Naga National Government (ENNG) surrendered today along with huge cache of arms and ammunition in front of Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Pema Khandu, civil administration, Assam Rifles, and top police officials at Itanagar.
According to a press release issued here, concerted efforts of Assam Rifles deployed in South Arunachal reaped dividend when Jairampur Battalion induced surrender of 15 ENNG cadres including their party president along with huge cache of arms and warlike stores.
The event marked an end to the era of ENNG insurgency in South Arunachal Pradesh and is an epitome demonstrating relentless efforts made by Assam Rifles to bring normalcy in TCL region, the release stated.
The Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles in curbing the insurgency in South Arunachal, keeping the situation in TCL peaceful and borders secure along Indo Myanmar Border.
The surrendered cadres were assured all possible assistance by the government for rehabilitating them into the society and becoming valuable members of their community.
