12th Annual conference of AGBCN underway

Dimapur, January 10: The three-day 12th Annual General Conference of Association of Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland (AGBCN) got underway today, at its mission centre in Singrijan, Dimapur district.
The conference being held on the theme “Rooted and growing in Christ” – Colossions 2:7 is hosted by seven Nepali/Gorkhali Baptist Churches comprising of Diphupar, Khehokhu, Padumpukhuri, Xukiye, Zaka, Nikiqhe an Khuiabill villages of Dimapur district.
Pastor of Christian City Church, Macky City, Australia, Peter Loosmore is the worship speaker of the conference while Pastor of GBC Diphupar Gideon Gurung and Pastor of GBC Khehokhu Binod Lama are the Bible study speakers.
Marking the commencement of the conference with more than 500 delegates registered from 36 out of the 40 affiliated churches, AGBCN Chairman Tek Gurung unfurled the Association flag followed by hoisting of the respective church flags.
NBC Padumpukhuri presented the opening spotlight while introduction, adoption of programme and roll call was made AGBCN executive secretary Santabir Rai and welcome address was delivered by convener organizing committee Pastor Binod Lama of GBC Khehokhu.
Pastor of Dimapur Rengma Baptist Church Rev Tenga Seb shared greetings on the occasion.
Conference speaker, Loosmore delivered message on the topic “Rooted and growing in unity”.
The second day on Saturday, business session will be held to deliberate on the various activities, developmental as well as mission works of the Association. (Page News Service)
