11 injured as Kiphire bound Sumo skids off road

KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 21: Eleven people were injured, two seriously, as the vehicle in which they were travelling skidded off road at Krayo under Viswema village in between Viswema-Kidima road, Kohima district today.
Police sources said that the Tata Sumo travelling from Dimapur-Kiphire met with an accident at around 10 a.m.
The vehicle had 11 occupants, including the driver. The vehicle skidded off road due to mechanical failure, source said. Travellers on the route and villagers helped in the rescue.
Two passengers sustained serious injuries – female broken arm and male head injuries but are reportedly stable while others with minor injuries were released after First Aid, source said.
