10th Nagaland Spelling Bee Championship on Oct 5 & 6

Kohima, September 27: The 10th edition of Nagaland Spelling Bee Championship 2023 organised by Fountain Club in collaboration with State council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT) will be held on October 5 & 6.
The inaugural function will be held at 9AM onwards at RCEMPA, Jotsoma under the theme ‘The Learning Edge’ with enhanced prizes for the winners, informed Fountain Club chairman Ruokuovilie Chale and competition organizing committee convenor Vipopal Kintso while addressing a press conference at Hotel Japfü here today.
The winners will be awarded with citations, trophies and a cash prize of Rs. 80,000 for the champion, runners-up Rs. 60,000, third Rs. 40,000 and fourth Rs. 20,000 respectively.
The quarter finalist will also receive Rs. 10,000 each while the young speller will also be awarded with Rs. 10,000.
The last date of forms submission has been extended till October 3.
Students of Class 6-9 with a limit of two spellers from each educational institute can participate in the competition.
However, with less participation from the government schools, the organizers have requested government institutions to send the students to participate in the event to build their confidence level.
