10th Anniversary of Margaret Shishak School of Music celebrated

Dimapur, May 19: Lady wife of Nagaland Chief Minister, Kaisa Rio today graced the 10th Anniversary of Margaret Shishak School of Music during the golden jubilee year of the Patkai Christian Collage on Sunday.
Addressing the gathering, she said Patkai Christian College was established 50 years also with a vision to provide quality education rooted in Christian values and over the years, it has grown to become a beacon of knowledge, nurturing young minds and shaping future leaders.
She also said the Margaret Shishak School of Music, in just a decade, has made a significant impact on the musical landscape of our community.
Founded with a mission to nurture musical talent and promote artistic expression, the MSSM has become a hub of creativity, inspiring students to explore the depths of their musical abilities and reach new heights of excellence, she added.
She said Nagas are naturally gifted in music, and the influence of church music in our lives from an early age helps in refining this gift.
Thus, from classical compositions to contemporary innovations the Margaret Shishak School of Musici has understood this inherent gift of music within the Naga community/ and has nurtured a rich array of musical expression, inspiring many lives, she further said.
She expressed pride that many students who have graduated from this school are excelling in society and have become positive contributors by serving in churches, working as music teachers and as professional artists.
She extended heartfelt congratulation to Patkai Christian College and MSSM on these remarkable milestones.
