Dimapur, June 26: At least 10 Districts and Organizational District Presidents of BJP Nagaland State unit has demanded replacement/change of BJP Nagaland state unit President, Temjen Imna Along.
In a memorandum to Ajay Jamwal, Nationa General Secretary (Org), BJP, the district presidents highlighted certain allegations against the incumbent State President.
They stated that the Phek District president, who was recently elected as per the Party constitution conducted by the State Returning Officer was unceremoniously removed on June 23 without any valid reason and 4 more district presidents are in his card to remove subsequently.
Stating that his style of party functioning is “dictatorial and autocratic”, the district presidents said “one man one post” policy should be immediately implemented in Nagaland at par with other stated.
They also alleged that there is no transparency in his financial management.
In the light of these allegations, the district presidents, demanded that immediate necessary action should be taken to save the party from further damage.
Meanwhile, in a separate letter to Temjen Imna Along, the 10 district presidents stated that they held an emergency meeting on June 24 at Kohima and unanimously decided and adopted a resolution that “in the event of any unilateral and vindictive decision taken against any incumbent District or Organizational BJP presidents by the BJP President Nagaland state unit, all the undersigned Presidents shall united and undertake any democratic agitation, even to the extent of tendering mass resignation.”
The district presidents stated that the resolution is made and adopted for and in the supreme interest of the BJP party in the state of Nagaland. (Page News Service)
