The Nagaland Motorcycle Club (NMC) held its annual general meeting at the outskirts of Dimapur on April 10. Among other discussions, the main agenda was the hosting of the next edition of North East Riders’ Meet (NERM). It was NMC’s turn to host the event in 2020 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was postponed to 2021. The club settled to take further decisions depending on the prevailing COVID situation.

A three-member committee from the Press Council of India (PCI) is on a two-day visit in Nagaland to interact with various stakeholders, including the members of the press, Governor and Chief Minister, to evolve guidelines for the media and security forces on reporting in conflict situations, and to organise activities particularly in NE states, Naxal-affected areas and Jammu and Kashmir.
