CANSSEA writes to CS on ANDMSA stir

Dimapur, December 6: Marking the 7th day of state-wide agitation, the ANDMSA, today reiterated its 3 charter of demands submitted earlier to the Government, and accused the state Government of step motherly treatment towards district ministerial services as the Government has remained silent on the ongoing agitation.

As such agitation would be intensified to express its strong resentment till the Government respond positively, it added.

Lauding all the members of the 11 district units and volunteers for their sacrifice thus far, the central office called upon all to remain united and resilient.

The Association appealed to the general public to bear the inconvenience and also request to extend co-operation as there has been no response from the government till the time of issue of the press statement.

Meanwhile, the Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees' Association (CANSSEA) has appeal to the Chief Secretary, Government of Nagaland to negotiate with the All Nagaland Districts Ministerial Service Association (ANDMSA) in order to end the ongoing agitation.

In a letter to the Chief Secretary, CANSSEA said the ANDMSA agitation is jeopardising no only the office functioning but also affecting public services in the districts.

The CANSSEA said the issue can be solved through negotiation and discussion and that evading dialogue with ANDMSA representatives might lead to further complication of the situation.

The ANDMSA is demanding amalgamation of District and Directorate Ministerial Cadre into common ministerial cadre; re-designation and elevation of HA and Sr. HA to District Superintendent Class I and Assistant District Superintendent Class II and creation of District Superintendent Class I (Sr.HA) and Assistant District Superintendent Class II (SDHA) in all the independent DDOs of district and sub division.

ANDMSA Dimapur: Meanwhile ANDMSA Dimapur unit has again directed all departmental cashier and accountant not to submit the pay bill either to the treasuries or bank and also not to exchange the token in the bank until the pen down agitation up December 8 and mass casual leave is completed on December 13. It warned that failure to comply with the direction, seizure of treasury token will be initiated by volunteers.

The ANDMSA also appreciated the speedy response and support of CANSSEA by addressing the issue to the Chief Secretary.

ANDMSA Wokha: The ANDMSA Wokha Unit has reaffirmed its earlier resolution for non preparation and halting of salaries bill under Wokha District till the ongoing agitation is called off. It also resolved to set up an Action Committee for monitoring and guiding the ongoing agitation.
