Dimapur, October 22: Responding to numerous reports of common public grievance wherein Aadhar has been made mandatory for various governmental and non-governmental agencies in Nagaland, the NSCN (K) today resolved to ban enfocement of Aadhar in Naga inhabited territories with immediate effect.

In a press release issued by its MIP, the NSCN (K) directed all Aadhar registration agents to immediately close down the booths and immediately cease the activities.

It also directed various government and non-government departments and agencies operating in the Naga inhabited territories including the financial institutions not to insist on Aadhar or make Aadhar mandatory for any job applications or other services.

Stating that stringent action would be taken if the directives are not followed, the NSCN (K) also asked the common public to refuse registration.

It also said there would be surprise checking anywhere and anyone found possessing Aadhar card would face consequences. (Page News Service)
