3 arrested for selling fake PUMA products

Dimapur, January 13: Dimapur East PS personnel along with an attorney of PUMA Company from Mangalore conducted a joint raid in few suspected garment/footwear shops at New Market and NL Road area selling counterfeit/duplicate PUMA products with trademarks (Cat logo) and apprehended three persons.

Police raided the Babu Garment Shop, NL Road, Dimapur and seized Track Pant Puma - 37, T Shirt - 1 & Track Suit - 6, while from Deepak Store, NL Road, Dimapur, police seized Ladies wear Puma - 118, Track Pant Puma - 33 and Track Suit Puma - 18.

The arrested persons are Ghandi Das (51), Proprietor of Babu Garment Shop; Biswajit Gosh (42), Proprietor of Babu Garment Shop and Bakul Saha (40), Proprietor of Deepak Store. 

Police said all the seized items were illegally imported from Myanmar, and illegally purchased and sold in local market with same trademark of Puma.
