MHBHSS win state level national election quiz

Dimapur, January 11: Team from Ministers' Hill Baptist Higher Secondary School Kohima, represented by Merio N Ngullie, Class 12 and  Kekhriese Yhoshu, Class 11 won the first ever national elections quiz conducted in Nagaland. The winning school team will represent Nagaland in the semi finals and finals being conducted in New Delhi on January 14-15. All 34 states/UTs are competing in the quiz competition.

The intra school competition on the theme was held across the state in November 2017, with the intra school competing the District Round during 1st week of December 2017. Winners of District Round then competed in the State Round on December 15.

The Chief Electoral Officer of Nagaland has appointed Bachu Yhoshu, Assistant Professor, Saochang Govt. College, Tuensang, as the Liaison Officer of the competitors. They proceed to Dimapur today and fly from Guwahati on January 12 to Delhi. Necessary briefing and city touring shall be done on January 13.

The semi finals and finals shall be held in the Rajya Sabha TV Studio on January 14-15. The coverage shall be telecast across the country later.

CEO Nagaland informed that as and when the telecast schedule is given by the ECI, it will be shared with both electronic and print media for publicity so that the citizens shall be able to watch the national events in Nagaland.
