GMS Zeliangrong village celebrates Golden Jubilee

Dimapur, November 11: Government Middle School, Zeliangrong Village, Dimapur today celebrated its golden jubilee with S.I. Jamir, advisor, urban development as the chief guest. 

Speaking on the occasion Jamir said that though the school has completed 50 years, have high enrolment, it nevertheless needs upgradation and it needs to be upgraded to higher secondary.

Expressing his inability to bring development to the extend he wanted, he assured that he would do all he can in his capacity on behalf of the government for its progress.

He also sought the support of the people of Zeliangrong Village for the task.

Commenting on the approaching election, he said that the Legislative Assembly is ready to be dissolved if the Framework Agreement is settled for good and the settlement is expected before Christmas viewing that elections are at hand and a settlement soon after the completion of the election process would not appear proper and vacating the assembly wouldn't be easy.

Established in the year 1960 on a piece of donated land, it was but in the year 1967 that Government of Nagaland took over the private school and 2017 indeed marks the 50th year of the school under the state government.
